Terms of Service

DRAFT — LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED. This template was written to describe how ClipForge works. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not legal advice. The operator must have it reviewed for their jurisdiction before publishing it.

Version 1 — template.

1. Who we are

These terms are an agreement between you and [Operator legal name] ("we"), who runs this ClipForge installation. [Registered address, company number, contact e-mail.]

2. Your account

You must give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us about unauthorised use. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Workspace owners decide who is a member of their workspace and with which role.

3. What you may upload

You may only upload material you own, have licensed, or are otherwise authorised to use for the purposes you use it for, including any people who appear in it. You confirm this each time ClipForge asks you to. See the Copyright Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy.

4. AI features

Some features send text you provide (and, where stated, media) to AI providers to produce suggestions, scripts, images, voices or video. AI output can be wrong. You review and approve output before using it, and you are responsible for the claims your advertising makes. See the AI Content Policy and the Advertising Claims Policy.

5. AI characters and likeness

You may only create a character that represents a real person with that person's documented consent, within its scope and while it is valid. See the AI Character Policy and the Likeness Consent Policy.

6. Plans, usage and payment

Plans include allowances that reset monthly. [Prices, billing cycle, taxes, renewal and cancellation terms.] See the Refund Policy.

7. Your content

You keep the rights you have in your content. You give us the permission we need to store, process and display it to run the service for you. We do not use your content to train AI models. [Operator to confirm for every provider used.]

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law. Where reasonable we tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You may close your account at any time.

9. Liability

[Limitation of liability, warranties disclaimer, indemnity — to be written by counsel for the operator's jurisdiction.]

10. Changes

We may change these terms. For material changes we ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the service.

11. Law and disputes

[Governing law and courts.]
